The Park

Many of the same activities as last year were on in the Park again this year, so I'm not covering them all in detail, particularly the sports, which you can see in last year's report.

One of the major attractions for the very young again this year, the bouncing castles. See the castle at third from left being inflated in preparation for the festivities.

And always within range of the communications blanket.

The location was so popular there were queues for nearly everything, here for the candy floss.

The mini reptile-zoo was very popular. This is the Chameleon.

And the Gecko.

And the Tarantula which insisted on hiding in a corner of the glass case and behind a branch and a leaf. But I got a bit of him. Hairy legs.

But the star of the show, for the second year running, was the yellow whatshisname snake.

Children and adults alike were touching him, but mostly the children, with their innocent curiosity.

Opposite the park, on the way back to the business section, there were tours of the Civil Defence vehicle for young people.

And a little further along the road, the penalty shoot out at the soccer club.
