Sure enough the comment editor stripped everything: brackets, material within the brackets, and any material between the opening and closing "tags". Then I got the idea of using html "&" representations of the brackets for the tag. For example renders as < and renders as >. When I checked the preview window I had my required tags, but when I subsequently posted the whole thing had disappeared. The mechanics seem as follows. The first rendition (preview) converts the & version to the required brackets and the second rendition (post) eliminates the brackets and any tagged material. The solution to the problem is as follows. compose your comment, including what you intend putting inside the brackets but without the brackets satisfy youself with your draft in preview insert brackets in & format post without further preview Just to help your memory, "lt" stands for "less than" and "gt" for "greater than".
