There is a market at the Zand every Saturday morning. It takes over the whole of the vast open space area and extends into another adjacent substantial square .
The first priority is to make sure your possessions are secure. The profusion of churches does not in any way render Brugge immune from prevailing trends in crime.
In any event there is no lack of police presence with the major police station virtually fronting onto the marketplace.
The range of produce is enormous and includes food, fruit, vegetables, clothing, knick-knacks of all sorts, pets for petting and pets for eating, perfume for milady and wigs for her mother.
