The Eyre Square shopping arcade looks just like any other shopping arcade, for the most part. That is, until you stumble on the recreated medieval street and the rehabilitated medieval city wall and towers. This is very well integrated into the arcade layout and gives it a very distinctive feel.
Again it is the linking in of the commercial with the historical, or, if you will, commercial capitalisation of history.
Makes a welcome change, though. It's very well done.
