Funerals Mr P J Medlar Mr Patrick J. Medlar, sen, who has died at his residence, 53 South Circular Road, Portobello, was Alderman of the dublin corporation for many years up to 1945. He was an active member of the former Housing Committee and of the Old Age Pensions Committee and was the Corporation's representative on Dublin Board of Assistance. Mr. Medlar was recognised for his keen interest in the welfare of the poor, and particularly in the administation of the Poor Law System. A widower for several years, he was a native of Dublin and was a partner in the former firm of Messrs Medlar and Claffey, undertakers, a position he relinquished in later years to take up the House Agency business. |

Circular Road, Portobello, took place to Mount Jerome from the Church of Our Lady of Dolours, Dolphin's Barn, after Requiem Mass celebrated by Rev. J. Murphy, C.C.
