The cutting above tells how, in 1981, 65 years after the Rising, the freehold of the GPO plot was finally transferred to the State. The transaction was brokered by Niall O'Donoghue. Nearly 20 years later, Niall embarked on his very own historical project, restoring Martello Tower No.7 in Killiney Bay. |
