Old & Original Train Stations

The red line starts at the bottom, at the old Ballybrack train station (1857). The original station (1854) is 5 chains (100m) to the north of the old station. The line is 100m long and ends at the entrance to the underpass. This suggests that the original station was at this point and that there was an access opening in the wall there, where there is currently a gate.

The red line starts at the bottom, at the old Killiney station (1857). The original station, Obelisk Hill (1854), is 50 chains (1km) to the north of the old station. The line is 1km long and terminates just beyond the current railway foot bridge. An old map (Duncan?) puts the station a little south of this. I imagine that there is, therefore, every chance that the original station was at the foot bridge.
