This communications equipment was due to be removed in 2003, and various retentions were denied or declared invalid. Nevertheless the equipment remained. In recent times the City Council was in the process of carrying out an enforcement order when a further, 9 month, retention was applied for which stymied that operation for the moment. And we are told that the developers are not calling the shots! Incidentally, the latest retention application (6730/07), reported by the Raheny News, is not shown on the City Council planning website map, though it is recorded in their database. It has been declared invalid for a number of reasons, which add up to, at its most charitable, a sloppy application.
