Enlightened Spuds
These potatoes were bought in a
transparent plastic bag
displayed in a brightly lit store.
The instructions, harking back to the days of real potatoes, clearly state they should be stored in a dark place.
While these were bought in Supervalu, the practice of selling potatoes in clear plastic bags is widespread, and to make it worse, most of these potatoes are washed depriving them of even the minimal protection of the clay against the light.
